Within the framework of the International Conference of the Young Women’s Christian Association – Palestine, under the title “Freedom, Peace and Dignity for Women in Palestine”, a delegation from about fifty countries visited the displaced village of Iqrit, where they participated in the monthly mass in the village church, then toured the church and cemetery and listened to the details of the tragedy of the village of Iqrit. They were then informed about the role of Palestinian women in general in the struggle and dealing with asylum and displacement, and about the role of Iqrit women in particular and the impact of displacement on the details of their lives and the lives of their families.
